(I wrote up a whole entry about all this yesterday, and it decided not to post -_- So here we go again)
Thanksgiving weekend was great ^_^ Went to Ikea after school got out Wed. since it was just a half day - I will never see that place that empty again. It was kind of weird. But FINALLY they had the computer chair I wanted in stock! Yay! I now have a pretty flowery computer chair to go with the desk I got this summer.
Thursday, everyone came over for the big meal like they do every year. It was a good time, lots of good food - but since my body isn't used to having so many carbs at once, after dinner my blood sugar plumitted and I crashed on the couch for a while ^_^b
The big event was on Friday. Went up to Hartford with a bunch of friends to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas show. I'd never seen them live, but some of the guys go religiously every year and they promised me I'd love it. Which I did. It was a total sensory overload, but . . . WOW. I must get the CD now. But a good time was had by all, there and at the Chili's we terrorized afterwards (well, we behaved ourselves, but we showed up pretty close to closing, and I'm sure they stayed later than they would rather have done).
After the show, I'm all ready for the Christmas season! Spent yesterday cleaning/putting up Christmas decorations. Decorating I like. Christmas shopping . . . I could do without. I've started already, have my immediate family more or less covered, but that's the easy part.
Next weekend it'll be time for the annual performance of Handel's Messiah (Christmas portion, plus "Hallelujah"), which we'll be singing in. It conflicts with Becky's SATs, so we'll only be there for some of the rehearsals, but I think we'll be OK.
