(no subject)
so today kind of sucked...but they didn't draw blood at the doctor's! woo!
yet, I do have to go downtown to do testing and such. I have to go for two days. The first one I have to take a radioactive pill. The next day I come back and they do a bunch of scans and shit. At least this doesn't involve needles! Stupid thyroid....they did determine that I had an overactive thyroid in some form.
Apparently it could be either Graves Disease or just nodules or something like that. Graves disease could go away by itself and could pretty much just be treated by taking pills to regulate the thyroid hormone. If its the nodule things then I could either have surgery, do iodine radiation therepy, or one other thing. I guess it isn't too important if i didn't remember it.... but either way, if I do have something any of the options are going to deteriorate my thyroid in some form or another and I'll have to take thyroid hormone pills the rest of my life. Wow kinda morbid, huh?
Yeah, I guess I shouldn't assume the worse until I'm positive that it is one of those things.
Other news....parents are going away Monday. yessssssssssss no annoying siblings either.
