Be still, my beating heart
I actually cannot face the thought of having to update on the ;ast 12+ months all at one, it s by far too exhausting to think about. Instead, I'm just going to start with the last week :)
Steph (one of my house-mates) left for America last Friday. I actually miss her tons already, we talk every day, live together (although she spends most of her time at Matt her BF's house), have lunch pretty much everyday, and spend most of our time at work emailing/IM-ing each other. It's very weird not having her around!
So last Friday I went home from work & packed, drove to Sligar's house, picked him up & we drove to Sydney. It was a good deal for me cos he paid for a whole tank of fuel, and I am poor haha. After I dropped him of at his house, I drove into the city to pick up Harriet & Howie from work, nearly killing some pedestrians in Newtown along the way. Then we dove to Harri-ette place, hung out for a while, and crashed. The next morning we had the world's most epic breakfast, played with the bunnies & drove to Tahlia's house, and hung out for a while/drank, before heading off to dinner and then Story of the Year.
SoTY was fucking amazing! It was so awesome, I felt like I was 18 again, and I swear it was like the last 5 years never happened, but in an awesome way. I caught up with Nadia there as well, which was cool. I crashed at Tahlia's that night, and Sunday morning drove to Newcastle to visit with my friends Ash & Kam and their new baby. It was really lovely to see them, and they seemed happy with was nice.
Then I hung with my brother Sunday night & we watched Dr Who :D. Monday I had lunch with Nadia & we had a proper catch up, before I drove back to Canberra, stopping to pick up Dave again.
Apart from that it's been a quiet week. I am super over my job, my new boss treats me like I'm stupid and I just don't care about it any more. Thus far, I am unsuccessful in getting a transfer to somewhere I hate less tho :( This week I have to give a presentation to some indigenous work experience kids on the national portrait gallery. I kind of hate how whenever they want to show that Finance is more than just the budget they decide to bust out someone from my division. *sigh* At least the pay is still good haha!
