New edition cover - Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone

In order to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of Harry, Scholastic is releasing new editions of all the Harry Potter books each with a brand new cover. I always loved the Mary GrandPre covers, but isn't this one gorgeous?

I love it! I might even like it better than the original.

We are lucky enough to have a framed original charcoal drawing of Harry by Mary Grand Pre at one of the libraries where I take Y to story time.

That is a more grown-up Harry, and not as cartoonish as in the books. *loves* I wish I could see a close-up of that drawing. *wink, wink*
