The breeze off the Mediterranean does nothing to cool the sticky hot vinyl of the convertible seats as they wind their way through another coastal town, but Harry does not mind.
Ginny wears spaghetti straps that fall off her shoulders and breezy skirts. Her freckles have multiplied by the thousands-particularly across her cheekbones-and as she hitches up her skirt to slip her tan leg across his thigh, his hand wanders up the length of it.
Two weeks and two days.
No one knows them here. No one cares either. It’s just them, alone at last. Enjoying the summer sun.
