Thanks to Mary's anvil over the head gentle prodding, I've written a short H/G drabble for the  Fortune Cookie Challenge.

I do hope that you like it. Any and all comments welcome.

Ginny makes lemonade for her family on an unbearably hot summer day. A short story about lemons, laughter and, most importantly, love.

Thanks, Rachel! I'm so glad that you liked it. It was a lot of fun to write, and I do think that (like Ginny) sometimes all you need is a little bit of fun to make the day ten times better. And who better to inspire this fun than Harry? *winks*

Hey...I just put up a post on my LJ. A photo of our department for our new university web page. Take a look at me!

LOL - I know what you mean - I think of jug bands from Hee Haw or something. But we must bow to the Brit pickers!

I thought about you this weekend - I made homemade lemonade for Eddie's friends (they were playing with Nerf guns - not water wands - but the lemonade was just as welcome)

This story is just as welcome! Short and sweet and it provides a wonderful respite with characters we love and are glad to see in a new light.

I had a horrible time getting past the jarring visual of the word 'jug'--to the point I tried to come up with other words entirely, but with no avail. I can't quite imagine Ginny serving lemonade in a carafe, can you?

Anyway.

There's nothing quite like lemonade on a hot day and thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot. *hugs*

Oh, this is so adorable. (And I don't even read Harry/Giny.) You captured the spirit of that tug between a mom's responsibilities and the desire to play so beautifully. And your descriptions are wonderfully vivid and pretty. Nice work!

Oh, Annette! Thank you so much.

Writing is still very new for me, so thank you for your kind words. I really wanted to focus on the descriptions this time around, and I'm glad that you found them vivid. That makes me incredibly happy.

Thanks for reading and for your encouraging words!

PS: And next time I'll add a scar (or two) in just for you. *winks*
