I went there for my honeymoon, it was fantastic. I didn't go to Zurich or Genenva, other than for flights. Just got on a train from the airports *went a second time the year after, different airline so a different airport*
I went to a village called Bonigen in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland. There was mountains and lakes and nothing could beat sitting in the breakfast area, just looking out across the lake and up at the mountains. Beautiful and breathtaking. There was a walk you could go on called the Planet Walk that was a scaled down version of the solar system. To scale, but on a rather small scale. So you had different sized "planets" along the route.
Bonigen, and the town of Interlaken which was a short busride away, was very nice. Quite peaceful, beautiful scenary. If you want somewhere ust to relax, then it's perfect. If you are looking for something more active, perhaps not. When I was in Switzerland, I also visited the H R Giger museum and bar. If you like the designs in the Alien movies, then it's definately worth a look to see more of his artwork and stuff. That is in Gruyere, a place famous for it's cheese. Though the cheese was a bit too buttery tasting for my liking!
So yeah, that's my recommendation for you. Switzerland - Scotland on steroids, clean clean air in the countryside. Perfect for a relaxing break.
