Christmas is over and my thoughts have turned to te new year ahead.I view each new year as a clean slate on which to write. And, although I have never been big on making New Year's Resolutions, this year I am making an exception. For Christmas, I got an exercise bike (my doctor suggested it). So my resolution is to use the bike regularly. This is from someone who has always been allergic to regimented exercise. LOL
BNut the bike seems like a good idea since I am almost housebound in the winter due to weather conditions and health problems that limit my getting out in the snow and cold.
The coming of a new year is also a time of reflection on the past year's events. In May, my son was killed in a auto accident, leaving behind his wife and two sons (both grown). But on the "flip side," my granddaughter's dad returned safely from a year's tour of duty in Iraq. In other words, a normal year, some tears and some laughter...some sadness and some joy.
To all who read this I wish a very prosperous and joyful New Year. May your tears be few and your laughter plentiful.
