Sandor pushed the door open, the old gnarled wood giving in reluctantly as if wanting to hold on to the secrets it held behind it.

Damp smell, musty whiff. Coarse wooden furniture knocked over, dust settled on surfaces. That mattered not.

I maybe should have pointed out that I was shamelessly borrowing the castle scene from the canon... or shall we call it "homage"?

But yeah, it will take a bit more for Sandor to cross the boundaries that not only the society, but also he himself have set...

He-he, nice to just push through without any inconvenient waiting periods! Hence reading completed fics is great!

I am glad you agree - kiss at this stage would indeed have been...a bit too much. A few rough words and a twisted smile was quite enough! :-)

Peace! That is the answer... and what I desired. Away from intrigues, away from battles or threats, just the two of them...
