My gracious congratulations to those of you (which I think is about 99% of the Americans on my flist) who supported Obama.  Nice job.

Of course, I am sad this morning, so allow me the little indulgence of letting The Who express my feelings...

On the plus side, my muse woke me up at 3 am to give me some stellar plot ideas for an original novel.

McCain was extememly eloquent last night and I truly do have to say that had he NOT picked Sarah Palin, I may have voted for him. I have always liked him and the way he looked at both sides and made up his own mind. He is truly a remarkable American.

I agree with what Almond said about McCain's speech last night.

McCain was a great candidate and a tough competitor -- and I thought his speech was great last night. I'm sure he's not going anywhere. :)

And YAY!! Ideas for original novel! What are you writing about??

Well, I don't have a total plot yet. But, there is an old adage that says you should write what you know.

My dear grandmother always had great little sayings and stories and just this way about her that instantly made everyone comfortable. She was a card player and a shopper. I baked her cookies because she couldn't be bothered but loved them with her tea.

I want to take some of her wisdom and mesh it with a fantasy story about a 40 something woman (guess who?) who finds out her life isn't what she thought it was.

OK, maybe I do have a plot bunny or two...

That sounds really interesting! I always loved the way that Buffy had to juggle high school and the supernatural -- to take that up a few years would be a new spin on that awesome idea.
