Guize? Anyone have a spare ten thousand dollars they'd like to donate to a selfish cause? I need these books. Just LOOK at how beautiful they are! I want them soooo badly. I keep staring at them, I'm so in love. I neeeeeeed them! Weep.
Yesterday was ridiculous and awesome. wittyphantom landed in on me (yay!!) and we went to the newish Japanese restaurant by my house and stuffed ourselves full of sushi. I should really know better by now that I shouldn't do all you can eat sushi because I get really sick if I overeat. I managed pretty well yesterday but it was nip and tuck for a bit there :S Then, in our usual style, we watched crazy Japanese stuff. A sample:
S'right. Tezuka's tennis is so badass he destroyed the freaking dinosaurs. I could also make you watch the clip of the bloody stupid Brothers Echizen battling each other with giant pillars of fire (which don't exist) and tidal waves (which do) and make you fly. Yeah. You have been spared.
We also watched Kazuki Kato-sama, pop star extraordinaire, cavort around the stage in ridiculous outfits (SHINY PURPLE PANTS! SEXY RED ZIPPERED JACKET! SPARKLY SILVER TANK TOP! ALL AT THE SAME TIME! And let's not forget the mesh tanktop, horrible white fur-lined sleeveless taupe leather jacket thing and coming out in his own tour tshirt at the end. YOU SO CLASSY KATO-SAMA, ILU <3333) and be generally far too pretty for his own good. And we finally got to see part one of Red Cliff, the epic Chinese historical film that is so epic it's two films. And hot damn it was definitely epic. I would try to describe the insane battle sequences, one of which involved a guy with a baby slung on his back and a crazy mofo taking on the entire army by himself and killing dudes with a flag on a spear, but they just need to be experienced. Srsly, if you get a chance, even if you don't like Chinese movies, SEE IT. EPIC FILM IS EPIC. THAT IS ALL.
After that was sherlockiangirl's Hamlet Liveblog Party which was AWESOME. Team Shut Up Polonius triumphed, though not nearly soon enough for their taste, Hamlet/Sword battled Hamlet/Switchblade and Hamlet/Gun for sexiest pair, and everyone wept when adorably crazy Tennant!Hamlet died in Horatio's arms :((((( I had to spam baby animal pictures to cheer myself up (apparently I now have a reputation for this and am infamous among some GQMF circles? HAHAHAHAHA WIN!) when no one would watch Sleeping Beauty with me. Can I just say how awesome having a perpetual party post is? YOU BBS ROCK MY WORLD, I'M IN LOVE WITH ALL OF YOU <3333
And now Cap'n Linzor is coming over to make soup and cookies and watch figure skating. LIFE IS GOOD :DDD
