IT IS STILL -43 OUTSIDE. WTF WEATHER?! It was supposed to be warmer today. And I actually have to leave the house! Poooooout. I shall have to reward myself with sushi or something shiny at the mall. Muahahahaha.
I leave tomorrow for Calgary! Where did the last two weeks go?! It is craziness! I got all my dishes done yesterday and my laundry, but I haven't packed or cleaned up the rest of the place yet. Sigh. It'll probably be the usual last minute chuck stuff in a corner and throw random clothes into a bag late night ordeal. And then I actually have to get up early for the first time in a reeeeally long time and catch the bus to the airport 'cuz I'm too cheap to take a cab. No wonder I'm always exhausted by the time I actually get to Calgary, despite it being a 50 minute flight. Ah well.
Links! These have been open in a separate window all weekend waiting for me to post them. Why didn't I do it earlier? Who knows!

Top 10 Everything of 2009 (they really do mean everything, including Editorial Cartoons, Children's Books, Feuds and Fleeting Celebrities)
Go forth! Waste hours! I haven't made it through all the Top 10s yet, hahaha.
I watched holiday movies this weekend! This is actually pretty unusual, I almost never watch any of them. I try to watch The Grinch every year (the original, mind you, I would have to be paid a lot to sit through the remake) though they never seem to advertise when it's on, grumblegrumble. I decided years ago that I didn't like 'It's A Wonderful Life' because it's too long and too sad, despite my raging crush on Jimmy Stewart (I saw 'Mr Smith Goes to Washington' when I was twelve and was instantly smitten), but it was on tv on Saturday night and I said what the hell. And I loved it. Of course. How could someone as sappy as me not love it? It still is ridiculously long, but I kind of like it that way. The average attention span sure doesn't seem to be as long as it used to be, judging from the length of the average movie these days. But we also live in the age of the tv/movie marathon, so maybe there's nothing to that. WHATEVER.
And last night I watched 'White Christmas' and it was weirdly adorable! I will always, always love Danny Kaye (mum showed us 'The Court Jester' when I was eight and I still have most of it memorized, hee) and Rosemary Clooney is just fabulous, but OMG VERA-ELLEN??? HOW FABULOUS IS SHE??? I could watch her dance all day. I loved the random 'rehearsal scenes' that were basically an excuse to ogle Vera-Ellen's legs. Now THAT'S a dancer. I am in love <3 And Bing Crosby was kind of adorable, and the whole thing was so silly and it was awesome. There's a production of it on Broadway right now, how fun would that be?? Yay Christmas shows :D
Cards are going out today!!
alder_knight, I'm still waiting on your address, but I shall send you one as soon as I get it <3 SO EXCITED!!! I don't know how well some of them are going to hold together through the mail, so if you get an envelope of sequins and sparkles you have my apologies. Must buy industrial strength glue next year. Muahahahaha.
(hmm, need a better gif for this mood, much as I love sexy Chris <3)
