I'm so confused. Everyone's going to university this week, and I feel like I'm being left behind. Which is pretty silly since I specifically chose to abandon academics for a year to avoid the hassle they're about to go through. Yet I'm sort of regretting it now. It really doesn't help that Mum keeps commenting on how I'd clean up in first year

If it helps, I was panicking all summer about how I was probably doing the wrong thing in choosing to dash off to the sheltered enclave of academia before aquiring any meaningful life experience outside of it. I think that if you try to make the best of it and pursue the work that really interests you it could be a hundred times more valuable to you in the long run than just rushing off to university unprepared. A lot more profitable too, yeah? ^_^
