We're reaching the end of a cycle of civilization. We're at the tail-end of the Cesearic era (symptoms mentioned in the last papragraph of my post) and things will only get worse. America is being slowly turned into a religious police nation and it's happening so slowly, no one is really noticing.
Think about ten years ago ... Clinton was being impeached because of inappropriate use of the Oval Office for sexual liasons. Bush has perpetrated genocide, instigated war against half a dozen nations that 'might' harbor 'enemies' of our country, our basic civil rights are being taken by piecemeal, and he refused to take off his vacation to send the OK for help to Katrina victims until four days AFTER the hurricane hit - and no one has even WHISPERED impeachment against him.
Ten years ago, we were being taught in our government classes that the Bill of Rights and the Constitution stood firm and cannot be waivered - now lawmakers are trying to bend the laws to fit their blatant breaking of them or having our basic rights 'suspended' indefinitely. With the appointment of two of Bush's cronies to the Supreme Court, I doubt we'll have anyone trying to protect our freedoms any longer.
And because I believe in what our Forefathers intended, what the nation had been at times in the past, dearly love my country but don't believe the rulers should have so much power, and I am critizing our government, I'm probably going to be first against the wall and shot to death as a moral terrorist.

I'm too opinionated to keep my mouth shut. ^_^;
