* I have been watching "Six Feet Under" through Netflix. It makes me uncomfortable, but I can't stop watching because it is such a good show. The kind of show that makes me want to work harder so I can put my work, my voice, out there with the likes of that show. The irony being that I'm sitting on my sofa watching a tv show instead of writing, and that it's a show that makes me afraid to die because I haven't put my voice out there yet.
* For those of you who are not mutual friends (and, well, you should be), richlayers is a beautiful and talented little person who lives in the corner of my computer and says inspirational things. (She claims she is also an actual person who lives in Kansas, but you can claim to be anything on the internet and who would know? really.)
THIS is Rachel's latest stroke of genius - a friendly competition designed to kick both our lazy writing asses into gear. The object is to get as many rejections in a month as you can. Different kinds of rejections have different points. Acceptances have no point value, other than. You know. Acceptance.
I'm uber excited about this, even though she won't give me a handicap for having a small child. Which is fine. I'm not going to whine (I'm too tired to whine ANYWAY.) It'll make winning all the sweeter. ;p
