Okay so imporant stuff now:
At Kalahari I got to see the basically the combination suite that fits 8 people. I think we should get this for colossalcon. I'll post pictures later. But here is what I think people need to know:
We can get the combination suite for colossalcon at the discount price of $238 per night (before taxes) which is a fuck of a lot better cuz original price is about $380 (that's with taxes cuz my parents got that room and i saw what it was with the tax)
And I talked to the lady at the front desk (who gave me the prices) and she said two important things :
1. WE NEED TO GET THE ROOM NOW. We can't wait do this or else we're gonna lose our spot. Colossalcon has a chunck of rooms set aside, but we need to reserve it now or else we're gonna lose the nice room.
2. The woman also told me that when making the reservation ask to get a room in the 500s. They are the cloest to the convention center and she said better. She said to tell them we have someone who has a physical handicap or something and they'll give us a close room to the convention center i.e. less walking.
We need to get the room now or else I dunno how long it's gonna be available. I'm pretty sure that the combination suite is the way to go because it's big enough for all of us. I'm gonna estimate and say it's about $280 per night with tax? i dunno, hopefully i'm overestimating. Hence each person would have to pay anywhere from $76- $85 for the whole weekend. As far as I've heard from anyone, they're okay with the bigger room and the combo suite is really nice.
