stuffed and happy
OMG awesome night last night!! No one can imagine how much food there was. There were 8 people (Bernie, Carson, David, Sara, Kevin, Mary, Kat and myself) and so much food. @___@ We went to Bernie's house for an anti-dance party and we had a dinner there. I don't know where to start....maybe that almost everything was a heart shape. The hor's'deurves (sp?) were all in heart shaped platters. And the bread was baked to look like a heart. it was heart bread! and the cheese was molded to look like a heart. and our napkins had hearts embroided on them. and the plates where heart shaped And THE ICE CUBES WERE HEARTS I AM NOT JOKING. It was so amazingly adorable!!!! The artichoke dip was so amazing (and I hate artichokes) and I had pink colored cheese. It was pink!!!
And dinner we had a four course meal (i.e. soup, salad, lasagna and then a huge dessert spread) I was so full and Bernie's mom kept giving more!! She made the soups herself (minestrone and italian wedding) and made all the food too! It was amazing!
And dessert was so freaking awesome. We had chocolate fondue with a HUGE bowl of strawberries, pound cake, cookies, jello looking thing, I brought some angel food cake stuff and (get this) ice cream in heart shapes. NO JOKE. They put the ice cream in heart shapes!!!! And the pound cake was heart shape and so was the jello. Freaking awesome. Oh, and Bernadette's mom made us yogi tea (it spelled like cloves but had such a nice taste)
I can't even begin to say how much I wish I took leftovers. It was just that amazing. And there was so much. I tell you, we barely scratched the surface of how wonderful that food was.
And we played apples to apples for maybe 2 or 3 hours. And it was fun. I loved being with friends and eating and playing board games. What an awesome combination. So much better than Rocky River dances, IMO.
I will try to post pictures on facebook because it was all so good. ^.^ The only downside is I felt like I didn't have enough time to make cards for my family and finish David's gift or do the other stuff I felt I should have done for Valentine's Day. But I regret nothing!!!
