Too Much Hypocrisy

It's been two weeks since a gay soldier was booed for asking a question at a Republican presidential debate.
In that time, there have only been a few candidates who have commented. None have apologized to the soldier. This despite their often-repeated "Support Our Troops No Matter What" cheerleading.

"In retrospect, because of the controversy it has created and because of the different interpretations that it could have had, yes, that probably - that would have been appropriate," said Cain.
~~~NOT BECAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO? BUT BECAUSE OF THE CONTROVERSY?~~~
“It was unfortunate,” Jon Huntsman told TPM.
~~~ UNFORTUNATE, YET YOU STAYED SILENT. IF YOU DON'T STAND UP FOR BULLIES IN THAT SMALL CROWD, HOW WILL YOU DO AS PRESIDENT?~~~
Gary Johnson said he was "chomping at the bit" to respond to the audience, but he was reticent to speak out due to his exclusion from the recent debates. "I’m feeling a little bit like I’m walking on egg shells," he said.

But presidential hopeful Rick Santorum claims he heard not a sound of dissent from the crowd following the soldier's question on the repeal of the Army's 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy on homosexuality.
~~~YOU'RE KIDDING, RIGHT?~~~
