hangin' out with sparkles

Hooray! I made sparkles!

I'm trying a new thing here, too, so you can tell me what you think.

These earrings are ridiculous.

These earrings are significantly less ridiculous.

I must have the jitters today or something because so many of these pictures came out fuzzy.

When the wife asks for more black-and-silver earrings, this is what she gets.

Dyed jasper and wings! I like how the jasper looks like thunderstorms.

Bored, she wraps wire (badly) around glass.

This is the second version of this necklace; the first went to a well-deserving young lady for a birthday present. It's an Avengers necklace! Well, Avengers + Loki. I love geek chic. (The boys are made of glass; Black Widow is a motherfucking rock.)

Green-coated glass pearls and opalescent glass. I put it on an extension clasp because it's kinda short and my neck's kinda fat.

Labradorite and silver glass. relvetica gets first dibs on this one IT'S ALL HERS HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY. Labradorite is so hard to capture correctly on film, so the third picture is the best approximation I have, but if you know what the stone looks like, you know what's going on there.

More glass pearls spaced with little glass beads. When you hold the necklace up to the light, all the beads look the same amber color, but when light bounces off them, they iridesce.

A little bracelet with little sunlike charms.

Amethyst spheres and matte black glass. I was afraid I was going to run out of one or the other too early, but it wound up perfect.

Black glass seed beads and a thin, thin charm. It's sturdy, but it's so lightweight.

I found the charm, I put it on a chain, and there you go!

Okay! Here's where the new things start. These dangly cluster necklaces are pretty, but they're also tough to photograph, and my shaky hands led to a lot of yeti photos. This one's the same mysterious greenstone from before, which I think may be tree agate? Seems greener than that, though. Well, anyway, MYSTERY ROCK! Mystery rocks kick ass. This also marks the first appearance of my gracious model, raininariver; please do not get too distracted by her boobs.

Glass beads and some brown wire. My sucky wire-wrapping skills gave this one the old college try, they really did.

Just some little Swarovski bicones. I was trying out a new technique, and I don't know if I like the technique itself, but I like the result.

Glass and shell. The dangling picture is blurry, but you can see how fun that little drop-shaped shell at the bottom is to play with.

I've had these charms for forever. Note: this is a very noisy necklace, which is either a plus or a minus, depending on where you're wearing it.

drmoonpants said this sort of looks like a box with bubbles coming out, and you know, it does!

This is one of the first ones I tried, so instead of being linked together on a chain, all the beads here are linked together on a single pin, which makes the whole thing stiff but sturdy.

As above, this batch of beads is all strung on a single pin. The little danglies are fun to play with!

Just two big drops, danglin'.

More Swarovski crystals, this time all in shades of purple.

I love how these rainbow ones look! The smaller one (on the right in the first picture and on the human) belongs to raininariver, but the other's still up for grabs!

Again, I wish my wrapping skills were better, but that doesn't stop this from being pretty. I will be 100% not sad if no one ever buys this.

As above, but with Montessori colors!

Some shells, glass pearls, and faceted glass. The earrings are just little shells, so lightweight you can barely feel them.

Some green! I'm considering shortening this one and putting a clasp on it, but for now, it's long enough to go over your head.

Matte black and clear glass on hematite-colored chain. I was afraid this would look stupid, but it's actually quite striking.

Just a bunch of blues on the same hematite-colored chain. The only drawback to this chain is that it loves to get tangled around the beads below. It's easy enough to untangle, though.
