Everything I knew about Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire prior to watching the series:
- There's palace intrigue and people trying to be in the king in a medieval fantasy setting.
- Some incest happens somewhere in there.
- A guy gets a blowjob from another guy.
- The credits are cool, and maybe complicated? Unsure.
More things I know about Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire now that I've seen the first two episodes:
- PUPPIES PUPPIES PUPPIES PUPPIES VERY GOOD PUPPIES
- Apparently both stories would have much happier outcomes if the Law of Conservation of Sean Beans was enacted, and Boromir ruled Winterfall while Eddard Stark protected the hobbits.
- I feel very protective toward that platinum space cadet and am sure she will suffer.
- WHO IS A GOOD PUPPY YOU ARE

Really, it's kind of neat to walk into this with such a blank slate; I'm not even exaggerating in that first list up there, and items 2-4 are obviously just a result of internet osmosis re: the series. I mentioned the bit about that poor ultra-blonde lady (whose name I seriously do not know, and couldn't swear to be able to spell even if I did) to
demeure, and she asked if I minded a bit of spoilers about that -- and I said NO DO NOT TELL ME ANYTHING. (She also proposed the aforementioned Law of Conservation of Sean Beans exchange.)
Maybe someday when I can read non-school things without feeling guilty for not reaidng school things, I'll actually take on the books. But until then, I'm enjoying the show!
