tell me how deep that river is

I have my Spanish language exam tomorrow, so of course I'm going through my music collection trying to find things I've been meaning to share with the internet for some time now. Isn't that how you prep for a test?

Ten tracks, presented in no particular order! Most of which are either (relatively) new to me or just plain new! As always, username secret, password tunnel.

O'Death - Bugs
I know I gushed all over these guys the other day, but this song from Outside has a (creepy) video already!

Radical Face - Wrapped In Piano Strings
drmoonpants is having a Radical Face problem. I am having it with her.

Ha Ha Tonka - The Humorist
I listened to this twice before I was paying enough attention to get what that bit at the end is talking about.

Calexico - Guns of Brixton
Learning that this is a cover of a Clash song kind of broke me.

Adam Hooks & His Hangups - Little Lies
peripheralsight shared this song with me specifically because she thought I'd like it, on account of how this guy is sort of the American Matthew Good. Son of a gun, was she right.

The Mountain Goats - Never Quite Free
In my opinion, the best track off the amazing All Eternals Deck, but only by a hair's breadth.

Black Cards - Dr. Jekkyl & Mr. Fame
Damn it, just get the entire compilation album, since it's both excellent and for a good cause.

Justin Townes Earle - Harlem River Blues
I think beeblebabe has sufficiently covered why this guy is awesome.

Fall Out Boy - Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes
I have a serious problem with being compelled to listen to this song, like, nine times in a row before I stop myself. It is a really, legitimately damn good song.

The Builders and The Butchers - I Broke the Vein
I haven't listened to Dead Reckoning enough to determine if I love it as much as I love their previous albums, but this first track is a hell of a start to it.

And everything from drmoonpants' Boyfriend EP, especially The Bleeding Heart Show.

If you like them, support the artists! ...No, seriously, go buy their albums, they are excellent and worth having in their entirety, and some of these guys are very small artists who don't get a lot of love and/or support from other avenues. LOVE YOUR MUSICIANS
