everything's in its place

Thank you all for all the love and good thoughts and wishes and sharings of shared information.

This is the song Mom wants me to sing today, so it will be the song that gets sung. It is very meaningful to her; it is not meaningful to me, which is absolutely for the best. In fact, I'm listening to it on repeat right now not only to learn it, but to get downright sick of it. It's not a bad song all -- quite pretty, in fact, especially the guitar -- but if it were something that already made me cry, yeah, I don't think I'd make it to the end.

Personally, I will be thrilled all the way to purple if no one asks me, for the forseeable future, 'How are you, sweetie?' -- not because I resent the question, but because my reflexive response is, 'Good!' ... and then I feel awkward.

...If anyone felt like leaving happy things in the comments here, I would not say no. Not, like, sympathetic, touching, life-affirming things, but things that go DERP. That would be lovely.

somehow related to me, 99% of us is failure, sound check
