Before we get started here, I should note that this icon set will probably not last very long, for reasons that should become clear once you see the images. Quite frankly, they're not very good. I had wanted to do an Aeon Flux icon set for a very long time, and when mrmoonpants gave me the DVDs, it became a possibility. Unfortunately, my DVD capture utility will only take screencaps in .bmp format (unless I pay to upgrade, which I'm not going to do, as I'm cranky at it already), and lj will not take a bitmap for an icon. Combine that with how Peter Chung's gorgeous art is so liney, and the result is an extensive icon set that still leaves me somewhat unsatisfied.
But I made those screencaps and I cropped those images and I uploaded those icons and I gave them all keywords and I wrote up the whole stinking entry behind the cut, and I'll be damned if I'm going to get all my hard work go to waste.
I don't know. They look lovely on some computers and terrible on others. I'm willing to wager that the larger one's resolution gets, the better they look, as the tinier they get. Maybe next icon set will tackle something that doesn't so frequently delight in the extremes of perspective and framing.
I'd guess that most of the icons are either from 'A Last Time for Everything' or 'The Purge,' but that's just guessing. I know I made at least one icon for every one of the episodes and shorts; not all of them made the final cut, but they all reside here. Keywords mostly come from show quotes, from Radiohead's 'Fitter Happier,' and from my own brain's telling me I'm funny even when I'm so obviously not; no fair pointing out when the show quotes utterly do not match their corresponding icons.
