Home Once Again

So, I spent two days after my return from WJMC attempting to blog/clean/get back into my routine. I spent most of the first day asleep. (Considering that I averaged 5 hours of sleep a night during the conference... yeah, I would say sleeping in was a good thing.) I also slept in the second day, and after finally waking up went through the TTUISD catalog with my mom and figured out which classes I need to finish so I can graduate as planned in December.

From tomorrow on, I'll be studying for CBE's (Credit by Examination tests) in Economics and English 12A. That's in addition to the two PE classes I have left to finish, Chemistry, Art, and now Algebra 2. Of those seven things, I need to finish at least five by the end of the month. (because each one is worth half a credit, and I need thirteen to graduate. Thus, if I finish 5 or 6 things each month from now until December, I should be done on schedule.) I'm so glad I don't have to take the SAT/ACT over again. I got my grades back on those while I was at WJMC, a 31 on the ACT and 1780 combined SAT. :) I do have to take the TAKS exit-level sometime this fall, but at the moment it isn't a concern.

Yesterday, I intended to clean my room so I could start on my classwork today. That... didn't work out. Why? Because my grandfather's heart was acting up and when my dad drove him (and my grandmother) to the ER, they needed someone in the back seat to keep an eye on him. So I spent most of yesterday in a hospital in Lubbock with them. Grandpa is fine now as far as I know, although apparently there's something weak about the lower part of his heart. (He has a history of problems like this, and is 90. thus... not all that surprising to me, really.)

Today I succeeded in cleaning my room and putting shelves in the back of my closet! My brother helped me on the shelves, of course, and I'm very, very, very grateful to him for that. :) I'm ecstatic to have a clean room again! So much traveling with little time at home last month kind of left it a mess, and I don't study well in mess. All of my cloths and most everything else is organized and put away, and tomorrow when I start working on things I'll actually be able to concentrate!

Yes, yes, I also intend to start back at harp practice tomorrow. :) I actually miss my instrument... it's been what, two weeks? since the last time I played... I should be starting lessons again soon, so I don't want to loose everything I learned before Spirit Wind this year. I'll be working on some new songs when I do---probably from the Disney songbook my brother gave me for my birthday.

And that's my news for the day!
