A quick Shannon update
Now that my home is quiet finally, I can let you guys know how my precious lil baby boy is doing. We took him to the docs yesterday and he's got a head cold. He has infection in his hear, nose and throat. Its so so gross. Its green and thick. Tons of fun when I get sneeezed and snotted on. Hes on amoxicillin twice a day. I have to use sailine solution to flush the gunk out and a bulb syryinge to suck it out once it gets flushed out. Tonight hes getting another warm vapor bath, into cozy jammies and offf to sleepy land. I was so worrried he might have a touch of pneumonia. He hadnt been eating for 3 days and I was pumping the piquids down him every 2 hours alternating with apple juice and milk. The doc said I was doing a great job, which made me feel super good as a 1st time mom. I guess I got lucky having a pre made family when I marrieed Michael. LOL I always toook care of Jennifer for her mother when she got sick so she didnt have to miss work when I first moved in down here, which helped everyone out. Crystal really helped me out last night and showed me how to flush out Shannons nose with the sailine solution and suck out the gunk with the bulb syringe. Shes always helping me. Its not only hard being a first time mother, but its hard for me to learn new things because of the brain injury. OH OH OH and guess what guess what??????????
SHANNNON FINALLY GOT HIS FIRST TOOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM ECSTATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its the first one in thr bottom front!!!!! I think he was cutting it the same time he started getting sick to I got lucky. A 2 for 1 deal. Both baby dramas at once.....LOL Im willing to bet all of his teeth start coming in now and by summer he'll have a whole mouthfull. We've noticed with him, that everything comes in spurts. He learned to sit up, craw, and hold his bottle in one weekend. He just amazes me. Hes at the point now where he calls me mum mum mum and the other day mike left the room and he looked owards the door and actually said daddy just as plain as day. I was floored. Damn this kid is so freakin smart. IM so lucky.
