Haha! I win! Remember that Macbeth essay (that I wrote for a history class) I turned in for some Shakespeare competition in the English dept? Yeah, I somehow won that competition. o_O I mean, yeah, even I thought when I wrote it that it read more like an English paper, but I figured they'd want something a little more English-class-interpretive

That's kind of how I felt about my Catholic Church in Poland paper from senior year that won the department prize. There were a bunch of papers submitted and nearly all were people's senior theses, and mine wasn't a senior thesis and won. Which is all kinds of random and cracked out because surely there were better papers than that one submitted. But winning is good.

Wow, that's impressive! And I keep thinking there *must* have been another Shakespeare paper that was better, unless they just liked the fact that I was using some historical context and ::gasp:: mythology to explain the play...
