Remember the time when I actually updated on a consistent basis?
Yeah, me either.
Here's a few updates:
- My thyroid is officially failing. I now have a new disease - Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Exotic, eh? Just means my thyroid is dead. Hoorah for me! Please add it to my list of problems with my body. Also - medicated for the rest of my life for this one. Woot!
- Caroline is nearing the 8th month mark. Wow - how did that happen? She is sitting up all the time now, rolling from tummy to back (but refuses to roll the other way), scooting around when the mood strikes her, talking, laughing, drooling, and SLEEPING. We've had a full week of 6+ hours of sleep at night (for us - she gets a little more than that!). We finally were able to find a crib and she is officially out of her playpen and into a nice crib that we love (pictures soon). Also, she continues to be freakin' adorable.
- Soren officially graduated elementary (primary) school and will start Middle School in the fall. His last day of school was last week. Summer so far has been busy - visit from an uncle (Alan's brother), trip to the Tillamook Cheese Factory (YUM!), trip to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry), playing with cousins, and bulidng a bamboo hut in the front yard (yeah, we have lots of bamboo growing in our yard - I'm thinking of buying a panda). So far, so good.
- I've had fun taking care of my kiddos, trying to stay awake during the day (stupid thyroid), hanging out with girlfriends, going on dates with my hubby, making sure to get my morning walk, and trying not to lose my mind living with my parents (9.5 months left).
- July is the month of company. My sister & her family will be here for 2 weeks starting tonight and Alan's parents join us for the last week plus a bit at the end of the month. Busy!
So, things are busy (as usual), but I'm trying to power through all the medical nonsense that's going on and get things done as I'm able. Part of my problem is how fuzzy my brain is and my memory is less than steller. I'm hoping to be on meds very soon for thyroid and it should stabalize things so I don't feel like I'm going kooky.
Did I mention we've been helping watch 4 of my brother's kids since Wednesday morning? Yeah. I've got my niece sitting next to me. She's watch Yo Gabba Gabba. That show is whack.
That's the latest. Someday I'll be back into some sort of routine/schedule. Someday.
:)
