Letter to Myself

Nov 16, 2008 00:48

This is something I posted on my friend's site, in a thread where people post letters to themselves. If you've ever wanted a peek into my complaints about my own damn self, then this post is for you. Enjoy.

Dear Jessica,

You should be happy you have secure command line access to those things, not bitching about the Mac's lack of using the Page Up/Down and Home/End buttons. Quit yer bitching about how Mac's Terminal app doesn't send mouse events through to the servers. You have arrow keys, use them. Better yet, now that you've learned "+208" makes vim go to line 208 when opening a file, figure out how to do that within vim itself. Read the manual you lazy bitch!

Furthermore, quit whining about a lack of ways you can implement new code. Some things can only be done one or two ways, you've been a developer for 16 years, besides, you're 25, so its time for you to stop whining about petty shit anyway. Don't like the way you have to write something? Get over it, just write the damn code.

Lastly, quit bitching about how Rebirth has more features and isn't fully compatible with vCore. Rebirth is FORKED FROM vCore. Yea, its gone in a completely different direction and isn't compatible anymore, that's what happens when you fork projects like that. MAYBE instead of backporting vCore features to Varus, you should be backporting Rebirth's features to Varus. Or here's an idea - get some antidepressants so you can be more productive. You want to show the world you can do things even with your brain damage? You want to show the people who have told you that you'd never amount to anything that they were wrong? Get some antidepressants, suck it up and do your work, and for god's sake do your damn job.

Love,
~Jessica
