My car and I had a fascinating conversation this morning.
CAR (I named her Sayaka because she's a Nissan and Sayaka is the name of one of my favorite students in Japan): Hi.
ME: Uh, hi?
SAYAKA: I'm a southern car, and I happened to notice there's stuff on the ground I've never seen before.
ME: Yeah, it's called snow and ice. It happens sometimes.
SAYAKA: I don't think I like it. I shall run, but make lots of little lurches even though I'm an automatic.
ME: Uh, okay.
(later on, after the local news lied and said there was absolutely no ice on the highways): SAYAKA: I found some ice! Wheeee! Arctic Blasts from the north are fun!
ME: ...
We got out early, today, too. Because some of the roadways were still kind of icy and pretty much no one showed up to work but me and a handful of other people, heh.
