Tarot Readings...

I read tarot. Not professionally, but because I sometimes enjoy it. I have done so for nearly 20 years. I do not claim to be psychic, nor would I want to be psychic in the accepted sense, but when I read tarot for people, there is normally a rather intense feeling of correctness about the reading. Not based on my knowledge of the person, because this happens rather I read the cards intuitively or I read the meanings directly from the book.

I know what you’re thinking, people apply what sounds familiar the readings are vague, and we simply pick out what fits, and yes that is true. It’s extremely common, but tarot readings aren’t really about telling the future. They are more a check in with the present. It is a bit of advice from the universe that you can choose to heed or ignore.

I say again I claim no particular talent as a psychic, today was strange though. I read cards for three different people. Now before I read for them, I had talked about the readings, I got myself and some of the odd things that often happen to me. Things I think are odd. Half the cards in a reading being Major Arcana, an over abundance of them in any reading in general. It seemed as if this particular deck was more adapt to give Major Arcana’s in reading. I know this is improbable. Just as it is unlikely for someone to shuffle the cards thoroughly and end up with a reading containing nearly the identical cards as one earlier in the day for someone else. I did a reading today that contained 7 major arcane cards. It was a Celtic cross spread. So 11 cards, 12 if you laid down a clarifier which I did. So that’s over half the cards are Majors.

Isn’t that strange?  I thought it was, and yet even with all those majors the reading made sense to the person I was reading for. It made a kind of sense to me.

It was almost like because I had pointed out this deck liked majors that the readings I did today were going to be full to the gills with them.  In the first reading there were four, in the second five, and in the last seven. I had only three in my personal reading, now mind I did a 6 card spread of my own design for myself, and Celtic cross for everyone else. So of course they had twice as many cards and twice as many chances for those cards to show up, but still doesn’t that just make you go huh?
