I suppose its high time I do my AUSA report with pros and cons like I haven't been doing with most cons. Once again I'm falling into the woodwork and being invisible from life. Needless to say I really didn't want to return home...
From a main staffer's point of view I will say I missed a lot of the con, losing the opportunity to get good cosplay pics while busting my ass.
Pros
Overall not a bad con though some things could of been done differently in my opinion.
Cosplayers~ In general most were really friendly and outgoing when it came to asking for pictures. Though I didn't get very many of the random ones, I'm still content for the photoshoots I attended. Which leads me to a big shout out to all the Naruto cosplayers that attended the Friday and Sunday shoots. I've never experienced being part of a bigger group before and it was entertaining. The Sunday shoot by far has to have been the most random gathering ever. You guys were so damn awesome.
Cosplay, the Judges, and Tech/MC~ For being my first time being a coordinator I was nervous as hell. All of you worked with us so smoothly I never realized just how well the masquerade moved along. Sure there were things that could of been tweaked or done better, but it was a learning experience. Everyone did so well it seemed flawless and evened out. Adam and Nathan I still nominate you guys as two of the best staffers that did one hell of a kick ass job last weekend.
Jezeroth, Tristen Citrine, Paul, Big Danny T, Rob, Elizabeth, and Cody you guys were awesome with judging this year. Helping us along and adapting to the last masquerade situation in the time limit was amazing.
I also want to give a shoutout to Kate for being the best events greenroom mommy this year. You held us together and helped keep things in order. Thank you so much.
Another thing I remember mostly was the panel (What not to say to Female Otaku) we did and how much fun it became. feytaline you made that one of the best panels as of yet, I'll be hoping you'll keep returning to bring us new and entertaining stories for future panels. You're my little sis after all and I still adore you *snugs*
Finally, I give huge props to Staff Suite this year and their ability to keep us fed. True there were things that could of been better but they strived to make sure we weren't starving. Props to them using an actual staff member who is a chef as well.
The Cons
Now I'll rant about quirks and annoyances I could of done without.
Construction Noises~ Honestly I know it wasn't the hotel's fault but still the constant clanging and vibrating was enough to give anyone a damn headache. We were the lucky ones that stayed Sunday night only to wake up to the jackhammers 8AM in the morning.
Security~ Was it just me or were they a tad asinine this year about things? They seemed really uptight and irritated to be doing their job. Breathe and relax a little is all I suggest. Its no wonder several people are complaining this year.
Versailles~ The bane of the masquerade's existence. Being told we had only 90 mins for the entire run though because of the band. I believe it was exactly 90 mins for all the skits. If it wasn't for Kate we wouldn't of had the extension to get all the judges awards handed out.

"There is no cheetah!" *still in denial*~ Yes ladies and gentleman... you were rooming in the hotel with a real cheetah.
"Does Orochimaru touch you at night?" *shifty eyes*~ A fun question I got asked as Sasuke on Sunday.
"Naruto. What color underwear do you wear?" *grins*~ I just had to ask Naruto since the fanart I had showed Sasuke in orange undies. He of course answered green.
Boring yet eventful...I hope there are many more days at cons as awesome as Sunday was. Its what makes the world go round. Yeah I probally missed things but frankly it was a blur save for the pics people took. As they always say... Time flies when you're having fun.
