Men of DragonCon
From our esteemed leader..
We just wanted you give you our monthly update.
The site is just about up and running! We needed to upgrade a few components, and we're working out some bugs, so as soon as it's all polished and revved, we'll be making the official announcement.
Special thanks go out to Nightmare of the Wolf Pack Elite for all his help!
The main point of this update is to RECRUIT YOU!!
We at MoDC have been scheming and plotting, and this year we plan on offering a Men of Dragoncon Calendar! We'd like to recruit YOU to be involved!
We have our creative director working hard on a proper layout to pay homage to our Men.
In the meantime, we'd like to start recruiting those of you who would like to be in contention! Here's how it works:
* If you'd like to be put into the pool of those men to be voted upon, just contact us. Reply to this bulletin, leave a comment to the blog entry, shoot us a message.
Our only criteria is that you MUST have previously been a Man of Dragoncon (as in your photo must have been on the site)
* There are a few of you that we feel should be "grandfathered in", due to your photo being on the site for multiple years. We'll probably be making it a point to contact you personally to see if you'd like to be submitted.
* THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION TO BE IN THE CALENDAR. This round is to gather up contestants to be voted upon by the public.
* YOUR AGREEMENT TO BE SUBMITTED DOES NOT ENSURE YOU WILL BE IN THE CALENDAR. That part is up to the voters.
* Once we round up submissions, voting will commence close to DC. We will set up voting via the website, as well as voting via the fan table we will have set up. We also have a professional photographer on staff who will be scheduling photoshoots of the winners to put in the calendar as well. More details on that later.
* This is all for charity.
We're not in this for profit, but just to share the goodness of MoDC all year around.
We have yet to choose the charity, but we are accepting suggestions for a proper charity to donate the proceeds to.
So shoot us your idea!
