So you want to crochet a TARDIS scarf...?

Jan 11, 2013 21:09

So I wrote my pattern up for my TARDIS scarf.

I used 2 skeins Paton's "Classic Wool" in Royal Blue, Red Heart Soft for the black (because I was only using a little, I usually use wools), and then a very soft bamboo wool for the white.  I forget who made it.  Sorry!

I used an I hook for all of it.  Also, I used a tapestry stitch for the windows, which is demonstrated here:

And now is the pattern.  The scarf is constantly 24 stitches, plus the Chain 3.

Chain 24, plus 3 for turn around.
Rows 1-3: Double Crochet (DC).  24 stitches at end.  Chain 3 for turn.  Make sure the chains are tight or else it creates a funny puff at the end.  Fasten off blue or carry if you know how.
Rows 2-5 : DC.  Fasten off.
Rows 6-11 (Windows): Ch3 in blue.  DC 2 in blue OVER the white in a tapestry stitch.  DC 9 in white over the blue.  DC 2 in blue over the white.  DC 9 in white over the blue.  Ch3 for turn around.
Rows 12-The End: DC until you run out of yarn.

If anyone who tries this has any questions, just ask!  Hopefully I can help!
