Goddamn it people!
I am getting really fucking annoyed.
The FC Hotel (The Fairmont) seems to have a confusing relationship with the constaff.
FC Constaff keeps telling us that we're going to be charged $150 deposit, plus tax, for one night of our stay on Nov. 1st (yes, we know that date has passed) and they're supposed to be finishing up with the deposits this week. Some people have been charged for this deposit.
We have spoken to the managers of the Fairmont SEVERAL TIMES about this, and they tell us that we will only be charged if we cancel our reservation. Lauran talked to them two hours ago, and this is still their story.
I have heard that if you made your reservation over the phone with the hotel directly that there will be no charge, but if you registered online through the group thing that you will be charged. We, I think, registered over the phone but still have the group rate applied. This is getting way too confusing and trying to get $150 extra dollars into Lauran's account before it gets overdrafted is very stressfull. Some of us were counting on splitting room costs and christmas money and holiday bonus money to get to go to the con. The people who are staying with us are spread out across the country, so it's not exactly easy to get money moved around easy.
Wish they would make up their minds.
