How hard is it...

to be respectful of other peoples' things?

Really! Honestly! Is it that difficult? I don't find it to be.

We've been having construction going on here at the apartments, they're re-siding the buildings. The workers hadn't been on our deck since last week, so I had left the plants outside. We get no warning when they are going to be on our deck, so I can't bring my stuff in.

While Lauran and I were at work today, they came on our deck and, once again, moved around our stuff. I have mostly plants outside. Except today they broke several of my potted plants (flowers) and knocked over a succulent so that the pot broke and left it upside down all day and they put Lauran's ashtray upside down into one of my planters. Real nice. I am going to try to save that succulent, but it lost a lot of branches and spent all day upside down.

Lauran's going to go talk to the manager tomorrow- I am totally okay with moving my stuff inside if I know they're going to be out there, but I also can't leave my plants inside all day with no light, as I close all of the blinds because of the workers. I understand that they have a job to do- that does not give them the right to break my stuff.

I also found my broom and my boogie board dangling off of our third story balcony.

Also, today is the 12th anniversary of Jake's death. I was a little sad, but not too much. I did, however, make the mistake of watching My Girl tonight and cried like a baby. ^^;; Here's to you, Jake!
