Zachary Michael Cruz
I just got some of the saddest news today... My dear friend Frank Cruz from high school had a son, Zachary. He also just welcomed a new baby into his family. On friday, crossing the street with his kindergarten class at UC Berkeley for an after school program, he was struck by a midsized work truck and was killed instantly. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. He was 5 years old, and just a bit shy of his 6th birthday.
I remember the last time I saw Frank, I met his wife and this lovely little boy. And this makes my heart so sad for them.
Frank and his wife are students at UC Berkeley, and his family needs help with the funeral costs. If you knew Frank, or feel some sympathy and have the means to help, any little bit helps.
His favorite band was the Beatles, and his favorite song, "All You Need Is Love".
