Once he was faith personified.
Never questioned His decisions because His word was law.
Never had the luxury of free will. Never desired it or the strife it caused within one’s self.
But that was before Dean and Sam Winchester.
The very minute he grasped Dean and pulled him from perdition, he knew the mortal was bound by blood, memories, love and a sin too deep, too intimate, to his tainted brother for it to ever be broken.
Castiel wanted to question why? He knew he was going to fail. But being tasked by God, was duty bound to try.
