7. The Princes
The girl that Merlin had seen when the Princes first arrived opens the door for them and Merlin almost falls back in surprise. She may be younger now and dressed completely different, but she was definitely Morgana.
Morgana smiles brightly at Merlin and her mother before yelling:
“Dad!” She makes room for the two visitors to step in the room.
Andrew comes over cleaning his hand in a dishcloth and Merlin releases a relieved sigh when she sees he’s not Uther. He beams at both Merlin and her mother (more at her mother).
“I’m glad you guys came.”
He looks a lot like Arthur, blonde hair, straight nose, slightly square jaw. But his eyes were a warm shade of brown.
“I’m Andrew.” He puts his hand over his daughter shoulder. “This is Morgana.”
The girl grins and waves.
“My older son will be here soon.”
Andrew offers a hand to Merlin.
“You must be…”
“Merlin.” A voice draws out from the stairs and everybody turns to see Arthur coming down, a smirk tucked in his lips. “You learned to close your curtains, huh?” The blonde teases.
“But apparently you didn’t learn not to spy on your neighbors, Arthur.” Merlin shoots back in the same tone.
Morgana looks from one to the other.
“Merlin and Arthur?” She grins. “This is going to be fun!”
