A rare moment of overwhelming frustration

Finishing paper tonight.  Comps on Saturday.

Watched a few episodes of Law and Order tonight that have scared me silly. Decided to get moving on the last few pages of my paper (OH THERE'S LIGHT), but I made the mistake of checking my email first. A friend sent me an email about a woman who bought a pair of cheap flip flops at Wal-Mart last summer and got a bad chemical burn...I checked it out at Snopes.com and got even more scared.  Granted I don't wear flip flops but just the stories of how people suffered, and Wal-Mart isn't very interested...

A good friend of my mother's died a few weeks ago in a motorcycle accident. He was only in his early 40's.

Every day, my mom works with people who are slowly losing their ability to remember their childrens' names, to form a coherent sentence, to relate to the world around them.

My dad and stepmom's dog died of cancer last week.

Two people in my church have lost immediate family members in death in the last month.

But...

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." --Jesus, John 16:33
