Western Wednesday and Turkey Thursday

Nov 22, 2007 01:02

Well I'm here at Dad's (got here on Monday night) and so far we're having a lovely time.  Today my stepmom and I went to the grocery store and got an insane amount of food for tomorrow.  I have made my first sweet potato casserole so I hope it's good.  I've also made cookies and am preparing to make bread in a bread machine (wish me luck).  We're having turkey with all the trimmings so it promises to be a tasty affair.

This morning I woke up to see my Dad watching a movie channel where they play all Westerns all day on Wednesdays.  Usually westerns are one of my least favorite genres of film but then I saw two of the most unlikely characters to be cast together--Ernest Borgnine and Sammy Davis, Jr.  The movie, called "The Trackers", wasn't exactly the most stunning Western (I found out it was a TV movie) but it was interesting.  I wish I could find a screengrab of both of them looking intense; I'd put a caption on it: SRS BIZNESS. LOL

If I don't talk to you all before then, hope that all of you in the US have a great Thanksgiving.
