Under the last chapter

I must say again this is such a great story. You promised me that I
would be happy with the end and you have never disappointed. I do like
how you say they don't change over night with their issues and
communication. This makes it real and will blend with what goes on in
the show. I hope you have time to write a sequel.
Which makes me want to rant :) So here goes.
I always feel cheated with romantic movies. First off, most of them are made for straight people. Okay, so if we only look at lesbian romances most of what we see deals with "firsts" and coming out and so on. OR you have the break up movie. That's obviously about people splitting up. And then maybe beginning anew or getting back together with the long lost love or some other shit.
But have you ever seen a movie about a couple that has been dating for a while and now that the fireworks are gone they need to work out some issues which they do with a lot of talking and thinking and making compromises and then in the end they are still together and happy?
I submit to you that a story about that isn't boring. It's not stupid and a lot of people might relate to that. This is the kind of story LTW S5 would be if I ever get around to it. Because even in the remaining 20 chapters or so, Emily and JJ won't get hit by lightning and suddenly develop telepathy or Emily feel so safe and secure with JJ she won't have any doubts. EVER. AGAIN.
I promised you a story with real people. And real stuff happening and this is what you get guys. You cannot begin to understand how much it means to me that there a likeminded people out there who enjoy the same kind of story I do :)
Lead the Way - 090 - Awkward
‘That was awkward.’ JJ thought while opening her door. She had been on a date with Emily. It shouldn’t have been awkward. They had been out before. They had even been a couple before. Things had never been awkward until tonight.
Truth be told, their last date, right after she had caught up to her on the street couldn’t be called relaxed either. Both women had avoided the elephant in the room until work had kept them too busy to make mistakes.
Emily had promised all the right things, made the right concessions and was clearly willing to let her back in. It wasn’t as easy as she thought to get back into gear. JJ was afraid that if they would start right where they had left of it would just be a sequel to their first relationship.
This was it. She knew it. Emily was the one. JJ wanted nothing more than for things to work out. She had daydreamed so many times of a life with Emily she’d lost count. There was no more room for error.
Last time they had shared sex. Lots of it. All of it good, but nothing satisfying that deep rooted need for shelter. This time JJ had decided that if they were to have a chance they had to wait. Her body was screaming for attention, but she would not give in.
This could only work if they made a deeper connection than physical attraction. She knew that, but that didn’t mean that she didn’t struggle with it. Emily had looked fantastic tonight. She had worn a black dress with low cut cleavage and black high heels.
JJ knew she would keep that image in her mind for nights to come. Knowing how those lips felt on her body, those breasts in her hands… she had a hard time falling asleep. It would be easy to give in to temptation.
To go back to the old ways. Sex. Satisfaction. Solitude. If Emily was ready to change and keep her word, she should be able to follow her lead. She too would change and do her best to make this work.
Just before dropping her off Emily had hesitated. She could see it. She smiled at the memory. She was so touched by Emily’s thoughtfulness she leaned in and kissed her. Just a little. Just enough to make her stay awake that night.
JJ knew she was being devious. As she brushed her teeth and looked in the mirror she couldn’t help the smirk on her face. She had that power. She could make Emily Prentiss stay awake all night, thinking of her.
Much happier she went to bed. Maybe this was the right time to show Emily that she was willing to commit just as much as Emily was.
