Lead the Way - Chapter 029 - Helena

Mar 07, 2011 17:00

Let me take you back to 1992. Remember that? When some of us thought the world would end come the year 2000? I mean, okay some actually argue that it did and considering politics, maybe they're not that wrong, but I lost my point and I don't think I ever had one so let's just get on with today's chapter, shall we?

LTW - 029 - Helena )

Ah, a peek into Emily's history and fear of commitment. Thank you.

Now the long wait to see how JJ breaks that down begins. Looking forward to the ride.

I love writing Emily's past. For some reason it comes very easily.

It's going to be a bumpy ride ;)

Thank you! Don't you just love the visual of Emily in long back gloves? Something about that just makes me wish to sit through terribly boring functions :)

I like the backstory you're building for Emily. It's clear that JJ has her work cut out for her. I'm excited to see how all of it is going to unfold.

Welcome! And it's really interesting how you're all so convinced that it's JJ who's going to break through her defense. We shall see!

Oooh. Are you implying a third party involvement?

I guess I am. It's going to be a long journey and maybe Emily and JJ are not the only ones on the road?

"As soon as Emily’s body had started to relax she had withdrawn from her, letting her fall onto the floor. Emily was of no more interest to her and she picked up the champagne and the glasses, filling them. She offered Emily the alcohol but no explanation"
- Seriously that is so sad, makes I really feel sorry for young Emily. And that last sentence "She had never loved anyone in her life. Nobody ever came close enough for her to let her walls down, nobody had been worth it." Really described Emily. And thanks for the flashback-smut.

I needed a really! good explanation for Emily to be so convinced of this. And there is still more to come. I'm glad you approve! :)

Wow. Poor Emily, she has really had some very poor experiences when it comes to love and emotions. At least we know future-Emily will find someone "worth it", someone who isn't going to let Emily throw up her walls and run away. It's going to be so difficult for JJ to get through to her, but I'm looking forward to it!

JJ def is worth opening herself up, but Emily doesn't know that yet and JJ has no clue how messed up Prentiss really is and seriously I can't give my story away :D

I considered giving the explanation for Emily's odd perception of lesbian relationships by the time she works through it, but somehow that felt like I had just thought of it then, you know what I mean? Like I hadn't planned it all along and maybe you guys would have thought I have no idea who Emily Prentiss can be. So I tease you. And have fun. Win-win-win right? :)
