sordak was supposed to be at the VA in Boise at 2PM for his dental evaluation.
We didn't make it. At approximately 12:45 we were heading down Garrity to get gas prior to driving to Boise. The truck ahead of me, which was hauling an empty flatbed trailer, pulled over to the left hand lane (5 lane road - 2 each direction with a suicide turn lane in the middle), so I started to pass him when he did a sharp right into our van. There was no turn signal used! (That is something that really irks me - you do not swerve left to turn right.)
We are not injured, just slightly shaken, not stirred.
The van is (more or less) drivable, but there is a lot of cosmetic damage to the drivers side, the running boards on both sides are badly compromised, flat tire on the right front because we were forced up onto the curb, hit the mailbox and missed the light pole by that (| |) much.
Downside - indeterminate as to who was at fault. Other downside - we only have liability.
Upside - that Deity for cell phones. Other upside - ditto for nice cops and tow-truck drivers.
Going to go into Oblivion and kill things now.
Severly annoyed at having to take care of things I really hate dealing with.
