So Tired
It's been such a long weekend - I don't even have the energy to check for new QAF fics, so you know it's bad. I spent Friday night at this insane party, which would have been a lot of fun except that my best friend overdid it and I spent all night worrying that I should be calling 911. So once rumor got out that cops and/or ambulances were on the way, the party broke up and I was stuck in the middle of a park with my near-comatose best friend. We spent the night at someone else's house uptown, and I got about two hours of sleep.
And you know what the weirdest part was? I came home on Saturday morning after one of the most emotionally and physically draining nights of my life, and told my parents how I'd slept over at a friend's house, and we'd watched some movies and sang along to the Grease soundtrack. My dad smiled and ruffled my hair and I went to my room and curled up and went to sleep. I'm glad it's over.
On the bright side, I'm trying to work up the nerve to break into the QAF fandom. It's a little intimidating because there are already so many amazing writers there - josselin, mintwitch, julad, JustVisiting, and myrna1_2_3 just to name a few. But the plot bunnies are sneaking out from under the sofa so I might have to give it a shot. We'll see. In the meantime, I have a couple of Everwood fics to finish, although that fandom is really not exciting me anymore.
This is officially the first time ever that I'll be glad when it's Monday.
