insomnia

insomnia is back once again. I can not sleep until 2 a.m. and I have to get up at 6.30. This blows.. This sucks. There is a very interesting game called suck and blow, which the diplomacy club in my school is very enthusiastic about. Inspite of the general idea that a diplomacy (or debate) club is boring on borders, the one I know is full of drama and excitement. Kinda. And they travel abroad to great places.

Why am I writing in english? This is also a valid to question to my insomniac mind, but I can not answer.

All right, so without further ado, what I learned today:

That Jonathan Safran Foer and Nicole Krauss are married.
That JSF had a dramatic accicent as a kid and reflects upon this accident in Everything Is Illuminated, which I'm reading at the moment.
That JSF is probably an overrated writer, but designs awesome sites.
That I possess a book by Nicole Krauss, which I probably bought and forgot about this summer.
That I can not write words with two "s"s or two "t"s or two anythings in them. Like possess.
That I think of the french word "contre" everytime I want to contradict something.
That people can learn how to haiku from wikipedia.
That LJ is a very large community indeed.
That there is an american haiku day.

Yes, I love wikipedia.

What else? The yearbook thingies are very disconcerting( not sure if this word exists). The ADT is the stupidest community alive. Absentmindedness do not only exist in the other countries, cities, schools, but in my own class too. Sad, but true.

So here's an haiku to finish it off:

Margaret atwood
makes me feel extremely sad
though canadian.

everyone has to start somewhere, no?

margaret atwood, jonathan safran foer, everthing is illuminated, canada, vocabulary, nicole krauss, haiku, diplomacy club
