Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Alan Rickman deserves to be nominated for an Oscar after his performance in this movie. His performance is in my top 5 favorite things about this movie. He went above and beyond in this movie, shit, for this series!

-------

Got to see it last night, and THANK GOD ALMIGHTY we did the 21+ VIP room deal. No annoying kids, and we didn't have to stand in that fucking mile long line. GOOD GOD!

So yeah, we had assigned seats, but they were perfect. And they bring your drinks and snacks to you. So glad I bought the tickets when I did. There is only one VIP auditorium, and we could have had those shitty seats down in the front.

I loved the movie. I bawled from the point Harry, Hermione, and Ron walked into the boathouse as Snape was dying until Harry took his head out of the pensieve like 20 minutes later...ugh, thinking about it now brings tears to my eyes...and when they showed Tonks and Remus lying dead next to each other, I had to bite my lip to keep myself from sobbing out loud. I was having trouble breathing for a minute there also. I was just so choked up. And you could hear sniffles all around the auditorium, I kid you not.

The last time I cried at a movie theater was when the first Pokemon movie came out, LMAO! I couldn't take Pikachu trying to wake Ash up, and then he starts crying.

The ending felt rushed for some reason. In the book, when Molly calls Bellatrix a "bitch", it was like "HELL YA!!"; but in the movie, it just came and went. There wasn't any fierceness in how the line was delivered. I was expecting something akin to Sigourney Weavers "Get away from her, YOU BITCH!" in "Aliens".

I'm also a little peeved that we didn't get to see Teddy. But damn, was he even mentioned in the first movie? I can't remember, but if he wasn't, then placing "what about your son?" when Harry is talking to Remus in the forest was probably a serious "WTF?" moment for those who didn't read the books. Even for people who knew, because I was like "what? NOW they're mentioning it?". Seriously, it was like "where did THAT come from?" ...again, just another "came and went" moment.

Those were my only two problems with the movie. Otherwise, it was perfect :amuse I especially loved how Helena got down Emma's "Hermione" mannerisms down to a T. I was amazed, to say the least XD

I think I have a bit of a crush on Matthew Lewis ♥ And it was great seeing Sirius, Cho, Padma, Trelawney, etc. again.

It is bittersweet, though. I've been a fan of HP since 2001, when the first movie came out. I was 16, now I'm turning 26 in November.
My sister was 12 when the first movie came out, and now she's 22. So insane. This was really like the final nail in the childhood coffin.

But here's to an EPIC Blu-Ray! Can't wait to see the extra features, deleted scenes, etc.

BTW, did anyone else see it in 3D? Damn, it was shitty at the theater we were at. I would have been happier to have seen it in 2D. But it sounds like they rushed to make it a 3D movie?
