Little Women

We (Stroh, Q, and I) just finished watching Little Women... It was wonderful. At one point in the movie Jo says that what she likes about books is that "reading them is like being home." Ironically that's how I feel about watching Little Women. It brings me back to familiar memories and ideas. Our high school posse, secret societies, girl times, guy times - it seems to be all-encompassing of life experience. (Ok, so I might be exaggerating a little bit).

Q brought her bench in today and we put it in the hangout room. The bench makes the space cozier and also provides more seating! It looks really good in there and I am excited about it.

So, somehow, I kept thinking that today was Tuesday. I was all set to tape Biggest Loser and to prepare for my TA session. Then I realized that, wow, no, today is not Tuesday. So I put down calculus and went to watch the movie - so glad that I did.

As Randi once said, "College is about the times you won't remember with the people you won't forget." Something like that. If I misquoted you, Crayon, just let me know. The general idea is that although I may not remember all the little details of what we did together, the presence of my friends made the good times good. And it's so true. I've learned to take joy in relationships - not in doing THINGS with people, but joy in just being with people I know and love and who know and love me. It's a good feeling. "It's always better when we're together..."
