too old to be up this late
Yeah, don't ask why I'm up at 1:33 in the morning...
I've spent the last half hour trying to figure out how old my computers are because I mentioned to dad that I was hoping to get a new laptop before summer since this one only has 20GB on it and he said that he'd help pay for it (yay) but also, when I said it was about four years old he said it was a lot older.
It is. Via skimming through posts trying to figure out the age of my desktop, which I was sure I got for my 40th birthday and I was right so it's 4 1/2 years old, I stumbled over a post about the laptop and it's nearly 7 years old! Jesus, definitely time for a new one.
I'm going to get Win 7. Anyone use it? I have one friend who loves it but don't know anyone else using it. I know I'll have to a get a new version of Word Perfect but almost every other program I use is downloadable.
Anyhoo, I've also spent the evening working on my website which I haven't updated since September. *sigh* I finally set up ad astra per aspera for SPN and SV fics, and reloaded the long missing Roswell site which used to bear that name. I've moved all the fics to the appropriate pages and I'm currently coding the last six months of fics. Mostly SPN, surprise, surprise. The Roswell site is bare bones because none of my backgrounds are loaded and I have to check the pages' coding to find them and I'm not in the mood. Nobody remembers I once was active in that fandom anyway. *g*
Mom was sick today so we didn't go to the workshop, which was fine as I had tv to watch and laundry to do and the yard to ignore. Finished watching Secret Life, watched SGU and some Criminal Minds (plus the Royals sucking and losing). I also rewatched 99 Problems. *pets depressed Dean*
Oh, as I was looking over my birthday posts in past years I found a post about the first ep of SPN! Apparently I really was amused by the shot of "Lawrence, Kansas 22 Years Ago". *vbg*
Probably should get some sleep...
