Checking the apocafic stats (because I'm afraid writer's block is looming and I'm dreading that) I have 23,785 words and 2,370 sentences so averaging ten words a sentence. The average word length is five letters which makes me think I write too simply.
The longest sentence is 79 words long. Probably need to find that one and cut it to shreds. *g*
I have about an hour free today to write--lot more work than I expected and boss still hanging around. He plans to take tomorrow afternoon off, though, and will be out all Wednesday. If worse comes to worse I'll be home Thursday night (the only night this week I'm home gah) and can pound out the rest then. It has to be done before I go to work on Friday as it's going to take at least an hour or two to edit the thing (though I've been editing as I've been writing, which helps) and Fridays are always busy at work.
It's definitely the longest one shot I've ever written. Hell, it's longer than some of my series!
I was tempted by the Lucius big bang (which isn't due until Fall) but they require you to send it in Word and I don't have Word, would refuse to use Word even if I had it. I thought that was incredibly persnickety of the mods--every other BB I've taken part in or thought about taking part in allows you to send in text files. Oh well, their loss. I write a delicious dark and evil Lucius.
