Rain rain go away.

I MEAN IT!

I'm avoiding my basement like the plague. (Well, I'm at work, so that's not hard.)

Weather Channel says it may rain for the next ten days.

Someone build an ark.

At least there's no wind so my stupid weak trees won't fall down but I'm sick of the rain already and it's only been a couple days.

My boss said the river is raging. His ponds are worse they were in the flood year of 1993. I remember going down to the Riverfront Mall (when it was still a mall) and watching the river flood over the sidewalks. But my basement wasn't leaking then and I live on a hill so I wasn't too concerned and yard work wasn't my problem. I'm never going to get my lawn mowed!

In other news, I'm not at all concerned about Swine Flu. I remember the 'Bird Flu is coming to get you' terror of a couple years ago and...well, whatever happened there? Nada. I'm just washing my hands and not going to Mexico.

Dad's found a possible flat for us to rent next August in London. It's on the south side of the Thames. We've never spent any time there (outside of going to the Globe and the Imperial War Museum). The flat is gorgeous--very modern, has wifi and plasma tv and even a laptop and printer for use for free. The kitchen is huge. Last year only one person really fit in the tiny galley kitchen. Anyway, here's the link flat on Bermondsey St.. Londoners? What's the area like? Are there groceries and restaurants nearby?

For me the only thing negative (if there are groceries etc. nearby) is not being able to walk to my beloved West End, but there's a tube stop only a five minute walk or so from the flat.

LOST continues to confuse me. I enjoy it but I don't try to think about it too much. lolol

Oh, and Legion of Three Worlds (the best thing to come out of the stupid confusing mess that was Final Crisis) better not do a 'take back'! See ironic icon... It's time for Tim to get people back, dammit!

comic book blather, stupid weather, london
